Businesses don't need your SSN. They need the authority to act.
Othentity sits between you, the businesses you work with, and the agencies they file to — replacing the raw identifier handoff with a scoped, revocable, cryptographic authorization. Your SSN never leaves our vault.
A number that can't be changed is the key to everything you own.
The Social Security Number was never built to be a secret — yet it's the key to credit, employment, and benefits. Every payroll system, hospital, and bank that stores it is a target, and a leaked SSN can't be reset. The result is a fraud bill measured in tens of billions a year — paid by businesses and the people they serve.
Your identity, finally under your control.
One verified profile. Every employer, contractor platform, and agency relationship runs through consent you can see and revoke — not a copy of your SSN sitting in a dozen databases.
// fills from the vault, by tokenconst pdf = await othentity.docs.render({ template: "w2_2025", token: "idv_a7f3…c21e", deliver: "encrypted"});
Stay compliant. Shed the liability.
Federal law makes you collect the SSN. It never made you keep it. Othentity lets you satisfy IRS and SSA filing obligations while your systems hold a token — shrinking your breach blast radius and your compliance scope.
One authorization, three parties, zero raw identifiers in transit.
The SSN handoff is replaced by a structured consent workflow. You grant scoped authority; the business operates on a token; we resolve and file inside a hardened layer no partner ever touches.
You authorize
At the moment a partner would ask for your SSN, you instead approve a plain-language consent request: who, for what purpose, and for how long. Revocable any time.
Business gets a token
We issue an opaque, scoped cryptographic token bound to that authorization. The partner stores it in place of the SSN across payroll, HR, and compliance systems.
We resolve & file
At filing time, our resolution engine — the only system that can map a token to identity — completes the protected fields and transmits to the agency. Then discards it.
Agency transmission to the IRS and SSA is pending IRS authorized-transmitter certification (Form 8633); the sandbox uses simulated agency responses today.
"Authenticate with Othentity" — the whole journey.
This is what a new user sees the first time a partner platform hands them off to Othentity. Step through it exactly as they would, then watch them land back in the partner's flow with the field already satisfied.
Building the identity layer the U.S. never had.
There is no centralized, secure identity infrastructure suited to the modern economy — and no direct competitor pairing cryptographic tokenization with authorized agency transmission. We're raising to ship the core platform and certify our first agency channels.
Each figure links to its source. Targets reflect current product roadmap, not commitments; agency transmission is pending IRS authorized-transmitter certification.
Authority without exposure. Let's build the rest of it together.
Whether you run a platform that collects SSNs today, or you invest in the infrastructure layer — there's a clear next step.
For partners & platforms
Replace your SSN field with a token. Cut your compliance scope without losing the ability to file.
